The name of Athletic Club shall be “The S.V.M. College Athletic Club.” (Higher Secondary Wing).
The membership is open to all bonafide student of the college and the Principal is the Ex-Officio. President of the Club.
Athletic Council :
The Athletic Club maintains an Executive Committee known as the” Athletic Council” which consists of
(a) The Principal, Ex-Officio -President.
(b) The Vlce- President nominated by the Principal from among the members of the teaching staff.
(c) Associate member nominated by the Principal from among the members of the teaching staff.
(d) The P.E. T
(e) A Secretary to be elected from among the students.
(f) An Asst. Secretary to be elected from among the students.
(g) One class representative from each class.
(h) Captains of all organised outdoor games as provided in the college.
(i) Co-opted members nominated by Principal from among the members of the staff.
Election Rules :
(a) The elections of office bearers will normally be held by ballot or by show of hands as per the decision of the Principal at the time of the College Cultural Association Election.
(b) The Principal, the Vice-President and the P.E.T.will select the Captain for all the outdoor games provided in the college.
(c) The Secretary cannot act as the captain for any game.
Tenure of Office :
(a) The normal tenure of office of the Athletic Council is of one academic session.
(b) The Vice-President shall hold his office till the Principal nominates a new Vice-President.
Functions of the Council :
(a) To prepare and pass the budget.
(b) To prompt athletic activities among the students.
(c) To Organise Annual Athletic Meet.
The Vice-President :
(a) The Vice-President shall remain in-charge of the accounts and the purchase of sports materials.
(b) He will act as the General Superintendent of all the games.
The Secretary :
(a) The Secretary will act as the Convenor of meetings.
(b) He will prepare the annual report with the advice of the Vice-President
(c) He will act according to the suggestions and instructions of the Vice-President.
(d) He will maintain the accounts of the Club as per the guideline of the Vice-President.
The Captains :
(a) The Captain will co-operate VP & PET to select players both for frienell as competitive matches. -
(b) They will take part for the organisation of college games.
(c) The Captain will arrange games-and matches with prior permission of the Vice-President and the Principal.
The P.E. T. :
(a) The P. E. T. will remain in-charge of all the sport materials, records & furnitures.
(b) He will look after the play grounds.
(c) He will perform all such duties as assigned to him by the Vice- President.
(d) He will organise PT. Classes including Drill and Gymnastics.
GENERAL RULES ON ACCOUNT :
(a) The vice President will draw the money and will responsible for the expediture as per the budget.
(b) The PET or manager deputed for one game may draw the money for conduct of that game with the knowledge of Vice President and responsible for the expenditure.
(c) Every student shall pay to the club a subscription of Rs.30/- annually.
